Vapormatt are one of the World’s leading manufacturers of wet blasting machinery, supplying solutions to industries such as aerospace, nuclear and wire and cable, across the Globe.
Suretrain were asked to create a training and development programme for the Business Development Team. While the team were highly skilled and successful already, opportunities for developing those skills further were identified, with the goal of driving the sales and customer relationship to greater heights. None of the team had received any formal training in these areas previously.
Suretrain designed and delivered a development programme over an 18 month period, progressively improving skills and behaviours in many areas. This programme was designed to be entirely bespoke to Vapormatt, their market place, customers, sales team and aspirations.
Each of the sessions was run in a workshop style. Compared to classic classroom training, these workshops created far more engagement and motivation, along with a dramatically improved result. The workshops encouraged more input and involvement from the delegates, using their market expertise to shape the skills, techniques and strategies that came out of the programmes.
The core sessions were: Negotiation Skills, Global Account Management, Coaching and Mentoring, Developing a Sales Strategy, Conducting Effective Sales Appointments and Telesales Strategy and Skills.
As a result of this development programme both internal and external sales have increased their focus on delivering profitable business for the company. Both margin and sales targets have been surpassed. The team has been motivated by the training and every person has followed through on their personal training plan.
Suretrain undertook the bespoke training for us in a very professional manner. The content was tailored to our individual needs and delivered extremely well. The London Kabbalah Centre invited Sure Train for a 2 day Customer Service and Sales workshop.
The staff members who participated in the workshop were from our students relations team, teachers, reception team, and our sales team. We also broadcasted this workshop live on video to our different Centres worldwide (including California, Asia and Europe).
